Owen & Abby

Owen and Abby.  My two favorite littles.  I'm the luckiest person in the world for sure.  Owen is a clown.  Abby is a little more serious.  She takes a while to warm up.  Owen loves his little sister, Abby adores her big brother.  It's almost too perfect.  Owen is 3 1/2 and Abby is almost 17 months already.  Man how time flies!  The dress that Abby is wearing was hand made by my grandmother for my mother.  My mom wore the dress and so did I.  I had to get it on Abby before she outgrew it. :)  Owen, well, I had to make him look a little like grandpa.  So, he got suspenders and a driver hat.  Grandpa used to wear those all the time.  The bow tie (Owen calls it a "tiebow") and glasses were just a little extra for fun.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them. :)

Jenny & Emma

Jenny and I go back to when my husband and I first moved to Texas.  Jenny was one of the first friends that I had when I got here.  She, in a sense took me under her wing in the hospital I currently work at.  The hospital was new and the growing pains were there but we made it into a special friendship that we have today. :)  I remember when she told me that she was expecting her daughter, sweet Emma!  I just had my first baby!  What an exciting time in our lives.  As most friendships do, we went through a few ups and downs and today, we have a special friendship.  I am so happy for this sweet mama and her little girl!  They have a special bond and you can see it clearly. :)

Grimes Family

I just had my very first session with Inspiration Through Art.  What an awesome organization!  This organization offers free photo sessions to families with children that have special needs.  Anything from Down Syndrome, cancer, and terminal illnesses.  Parents can go to the site, register and share their story and then they get to pick from a list of photographers, who they want to capture a day in the life of their family.  I have been waiting for some time to get my first assignment and I was thrilled when I was emailed by this family.  These girls are so sweet and I can see why!  They have such awesome parents! I enjoyed meeting each of them.  If you want to read more about their story, head over to www.inspirationthroughart.org  If you know a family with a child that is ill or has special needs, send them to this website so they can take advantage of this service. :)
